Frequently Asked Questions
What does the assessment process involve?
The assessment is the way we collect information that you present us. The intake form that you fill out is what guides our initial assessment. The assessment process may only include conversation or may include the use of standard orthopedic assessment that may help reveal the source of your condition. The process usually lasts between 1- 10 minutes depending on your needs.
How do I make an appointment?
Schedule your appointment by calling 928-634-5646, which is available from 8:30 am- 9:00 pm. By appointment only: absolutely no walk-ins. Please do not request an appointment through e-mail.
What time should I arrive?
Typically 10 - 15 minutes before the appointment is enough time to fill out intake forms.
Should massage ever hurt?
The simple answer is no. Discomfort level in working in an area should always be within the client's pain tolerance level.
On a 1-10 scale, 10 being the most discomfort, 5-7 is the range a client should experience. Anything over a 7 can tense up the client, thus going against the tissue releasing process.
Can I just relax?
Of course, your massage should be therapeutic, but also should be relaxing. Our work is typically firm and focused; "no pain, no gain" is usually not an approach that we support.
What if I need to use the bathroom?
At anytime the massage can be paused, facilities are available in the massage room.
Do you accept insurance or car accident insurance?
We do not currently bill insurance or car accidents but are happy to see you if you want your insurance to reimburse you after you pay us.
